In the past my advice column, Ask A (Recovering) People Pleaser alternated Tuesdays with my regular letters. Over the summer I took a little hiatus, but with the change of seasons, I’m ready to jump back in. I’d love to hold your hand and share the secrets to self-care through emotional intelligence with you. What questions do you have about the Relationships in your life, Personal Development, or People-Pleasing?

If you have everything all figured out (Amazing!! What are you doing here?!) consider sharing my post with some friends you lie awake worried about? 😁 It would really be a win-win.

Welcome back from your hiatus. I hope you feel rested and creative!
Thank you for opening up this thoughtful conversation. Having dedicated nearly 50 years to people-pleasing, I’ve recently embarked on a path of putting myself first—honoring my needs, boundaries, and growth. My question isn’t about people-pleasing anymore, but rather, how do I keep strengthening the resolve to stay true to myself in relationships that still expect the old version of me? I’m committed to this new chapter, and it’s my time now.
