When I finished high school, I considered myself a person who could adapt and work with any kind of person. I now realize that I might have been a people pleaser.
It's possible to have outgrown it, but it's a good reminder to be aware of this.
I love your perspective. I read somewhere this year that a woman used to pride herself on being a “chameleon”. She adapted to those around her so well. Later in life she realized that she had never lived for herself, never spoke her mind-or even really knew what was on her mind because her people pleasing tendencies were so ingrained.
By becoming aware she was able to start the road to recovery ❤️🩹
