Oh, I just loved this! I am right there when you when it comes to stones, sometimes I'm all in, sometimes I doubt. But I believe in your meteorite!! And the Artist's Way! I am delighted and inspired ✨️ ☺️ 😊 🙌
💓😍🎉 have you ever given it a try?! Knowing how you write NOW, I can only imagine what this kind of program would unleash from our favorite (& special) Lamb!!
I love it! I did something similar recently- in a meditation I had a vision of wearing a gold "name" necklace that says "Creator" - to remind me of my true nature and power- so I got one but was embarrassed to wear it at first (cheesy?) Finally I said fuck it and now I've committed to not taking it off until I get a publishing deal. 😁
No more stooping in the corner to make others feel more comfortable. We are TAKING UP SPACE & we are CREATING as we do it!! I can’t wait to proudly display your book on my shelves. And coffee table. And desk.
Also I grew up with Julia Cameron - before she wrote The Artists Way! She had a daughter my age and we hung out whenever I visited my dad in "the city" (Chicago).
I love everything about this story 🥰! Our human bodies are made up of mostly water, with some vitamins and minerals thrown in, so why wouldn't the meteorite have an effect on how we feel? You've inspired me to have a look at my box of crystals I collected in the mid '90s. I could use some of their magic more than ever. XO ❤️
Amy!! ❤️❤️❤️ I love your take on how our bodies can react to rocks/ nature. I wish I were closer to NYC so I could come look at your crystal collection with you! If you break out that box, I hope you write about it!!
Awesome post. I have a copy of The Artists Way sitting on one of my many stacks of books I plan on reading. Three pages of handwritten notes each morning is a challenge. I can barely make coffee. Alas, I am excited to follow your 12-week journey and maybe I’ll get inspired to give myself permission to do the challenge. 🫤
S!! Thank you for reading along! I agree 3 pages straight out of sleep mode IS a challenge and sometimes I feel like I’m writing the same sentence in different ways 🤣 “I’m so tired this morning” “I should have gone to bed earlier last night” “did I sleep enough???”
I read in the book that it’s recommended we spend an hour a day dedicating ourselves to the reading/writing or artist dates. I can commit to about 30 min.
So far, that seems to be working over here!
I hope you do kick off the program and I would LOVE to read about your experience with it too!! 😍✨❤️
K. Alexandra, your journey with moldavite and *The Artist’s Way* is such a compelling blend of curiosity, courage, and self-discovery. It’s incredible how one piece of cosmic history—a meteorite, no less—has sparked such profound shifts in your life. Your honesty about the discomfort of growth resonates deeply, especially as you share the raw challenges of saying “no” and reclaiming space for yourself.
I’ve practiced *The Artist’s Way* myself, and I remember how transformative it was to honor the yin and yang of creativity through morning pages and artist dates. The way you describe it as exhaling and inhaling feels so spot-on—it’s a rhythm that connects us back to our essence.
Your commitment to this process is inspiring, and it reminds me how essential it is to make those promises to ourselves—and keep them. As for artist date ideas, may I suggest exploring a botanical garden or simply sitting with a notebook at sunrise or sunset? Nature often whispers the most surprising inspirations.
Thank you for sharing this tender, vibrant step in your journey. It’s a reminder that creativity is not just about what we make but who we become in the process. Wishing you continued discovery and cosmic surprises along the way! 🌟
Hi Jay!! A rhythm… wow. That put to words EXACTLY HOW IT FEELS! Thank you!
And I will absolutely take up your suggestions to take myself on a date to sunrise and sunset watch! Thank you so much for your tender wisdom and advice, it is so warmly appreciated. ❤️❤️
That is the highest praise and compliment, Magical Mesa. You inspire me with each piece you bring into the world. I hope you do give it another spin and let us know how it goes along the way!! 😍✨❤️🔥
